The new JOOF single is out and it’s from the label boss himself, John 00 Fleming as he unleashes the atmospheric chords for this latest progressive monster…

There is always something which excites me about a new release from John 00 Fleming these days. Knowing what to expect may be part of it but don’t think for one minute his style is pigeon holed towards one medium. While many artists have gone off on a tangent within the trance scene, John has remained faithful to its roots. So, when you see a new release in the trance section of your local download store that’s what you can expect trance. Not some half cut house slash trance lovechild of a style experiment. While John remains one of the underground forces on the scene, it’s not commonly known that he produces music scores for some of the world’s biggest TV studious, which is a good thing as it leaves you to focus on the pumping progressive sound of a JOOF production. We have two new cuts from John here on his very own label featuring two different favours for the audio palette to chomp down on.

:: The Fire Of Chameleon
:: Mustang

The first of these two little gems comes in the form of a very atmospheric progressive affair he calls ‘The Fires Of Chameleon’. The video for this is paints the kind of vibe the audio is pushing out here. The deep, progressive and enchanting beat is buffed up with spooky backing riffs and a haunting sweeping main melody that cuts down into a very harmonic and uplifting main break. The rhythmic and slightly tribal sounded beat adds great depth to this track which builds up the energy and atmosphere perfectly. You can expect to find a very big progressive psy touched sound here with layer upon layer of sweet rich texture.

Contrasting fortunes great you with the second single on this EP ‘Mustang’. John leads in with a very prominent psy touched beat and chuggy deep bass line. Listen out for the delicate strings which greet you before the influx of percussion and main bass line. From there on it’s a no holds barred progressive ripper of a track with plenty of leads and sweeps to keep your interest. There is a neat little melody to be found in here which builds up right before your hit with a gorgeous break featuring those strings that briefly appeared before. When things build to a climax you’re back into thumping progressive mode, which John has perfected down to a tea over the years of producing records. There is plenty of punch to be found here.

Conclusion:
This may well be just a teaser in preparation for John's debut, yes, debut artist album which is slated for release later on this year. The signs are very good as this new double track EP is superb with each having its own different edge to the progressive psy sound John produces so well.
