It's a new alias from a familiar name in Adam Foley on Ronald van Gelderen's in house label RAW Sessions. It's a tech trance explosion well woth exposing the ear drums to...
Hailing out of Manchester here in the good old UK it's not taken Adam Foley long to establish his reputation as one of the hot new talents to keep an eye out for this year. He has had successful releases on front running labels like Discover and VANDIT with Paul van Dyk one of his many admirers for his sizzling high tempo productions. Tracks like 'For The Record' and 'Trip Switch' are two you really should make a point of checking out if you have not already. His latest release is a debut on another major electronic label in the form of Ronald van Gelderen's RAW Sessions imprint under Spinnin Records. His latest one comes under his 'Advanced' alias with a remix from label director Ronald himself and seems to sit itself in the uplifting / tech style side of things.
:: Original Mix :: Ronald van Gelderen Remix
One thing you can expect with an Adam Foley track is a nice meaty main beat and the Original Mix here certainly drops one of those with added punch by dropping an explosive kick off it. There is a deep rumbling roll in the percussion that starts the track off. The bass line has plenty of techy fizz to it and the track seems to be right on the rough side. The first break drops a trippy little chord in using a nice sweeping effect on it and atmospheric builds from the underneath of the production. It’s that build that grows into an explosion of sound and pumps back in the buzzing bass line and percussion. It’s a great track for building it up and letting rip with a deep buzzing tech flavour and impacting kick drums. Quite suits the name of the label its released on in fact, very RAW.
Ronald van Gelderen delivers a slightly different sound with his remix but still retains the deep rumbling bass line and tech driven riffs. The bass line he pumps in at the start is deep and grumblers like an angry rhino. The same sequence is kept but Ronald has given this a tougher flavour than the original mainly due to that’s ripping bass line. The main break is set up with what sounds like faded down crowd noise behind the shirt stabs that will turn into the main effect driven tech influenced melody. It’s tastefully done; don’t be expecting any cheesy nonsense when I say crowd noise by any means. The tempo is slightly turned down with Ronald’s remix but it’s got plenty of low end growls about it.
Conclusion:
Another thumbs up for Foley with this latest tech driven trancer. The label says RAW and this tune delivers that raw sound with a good job on the remix by Ronald van Gelderen.
