Something nice and steady for your Monday evenings is a lovely little new tune from Nic Fanciulli with ‘Luna’ on his very own Saved Records…
Grammy-nominated DJ/producer Nic Fanciulli marks twenty years of his influential label Saved Records with an international headline tour and the release of his new single “La Luna.” Tour tickets will go on sale Friday, September 5, and “La Luna" is now available to pre-save. The single is the first from an upcoming Saved compilation, highlighting the label’s past, present, and future - true to its groove-focused philosophy. “We built Saved because no one would sign our records, and it became a home for new artists,” says Fanciulli. “Two decades on, it’s still about groove-first, dancefloor music I play myself - records I test for weeks before we sign. That’s always been the DNA.” Road-tested across 2024 and an end-of-night highlight at Fanciulli’s sets, “La Luna” arrives as an emotive, melody-rich closer. “‘La Luna’ isn’t a main-room record; it’s a connection record - an end-of-night moment that sends you home smiling,” he explains. “I’ve been closing with it for a year; it’s one of my favorite records I’ve written.” The Saved 20 shows embrace the label’s original, stripped-back sensibility: minimal, dark lighting and a simple, immersive look-and-feel, with special guests tied to Saved’s legacy - past contributors and upcoming remixers - rotating across dates. “We’re going back to the original Saved theory - keep it minimal and about the music,” he adds. “Expect a retrospective of key Saved moments alongside brand-new material.” Launching at London’s storied KOKO on September 20, the tour connects intimate, underground-leaning venues and longstanding partners across both sides of the Atlantic: Temple in San Francisco on October 10 and Temple in Denver on October 17, Gate in Milan on October 30, the beloved Space in Miami on November 21, Spain’s Input in Barcelona on November 28 and Bassement in Madrid on November 29, followed by December shows at Serum in Chicago on December 6, and LA’s Avalon on December 27. The route emphasizes spaces synonymous with Saved’s DNA - darker, cooler venues where the groove drives and community takes priority. “America has been absolutely amazing these last few years,” says Fanciulli. “We picked rooms and promoters we love and have history with.” Launched as an outlet for music other labels overlooked, Saved Records evolved into an incubator for new talent while remaining steadfastly dancefloor-led. Over two decades, the imprint has championed future-defining artists and remixes while ensuring every release passes the ultimate test: does it move the floor?
