Following its most successful year in 2018, Brighton Music Conference will be taking over the British Airways i360 venue on Brighton’s beachfront for the first time, utilising the whole of the centre’s facilities, with exclusive networking parties being held 450 feet above the city in the i360 Pod observation tower.

The beachfront complex will play host to two Pro Conference theatres, the Academy theatre, Focusrite Novation workshop theatre hosting demonstrations and talks, Toolroom Academy, Pioneer DJ networking hub, and a specialised exhibition/tech and services zone. BMC19 will also host 20 evening and networking events (full details to be released soon).

With over 60 panels and talks, and 180 speakers, BMC19 will feature in depth discussions and debates on the biggest issues facing the electronic and wider music industry including The Big Debate ‘Is Greed Killing The Dancefloor?’ PRS for Music on ‘Developing Your Music Career and Understanding Royalty Streams’ (Academy), and “Getting Paid When DJs Play Your Music” (Professional); ‘The Power/Relevance & Influence Of The Smart Speaker For The Future Of Digital Audio Broadcasting’ presented by Sharp Stream; AFEM on ‘Touring Tips And Pitfalls’ and ‘Tech Watch’ and Horus Music hosting ‘Making Money Abroad’ plus panels including ‘Marketing & Social strategies in 2019’.

BMC’s sixth edition also features the specialised exhibition hall including the DJ and music tech scene’s leading suppliers, technology companies and service providers (further information to be announced).

BMC founder, Billy Mauseth said:
2019 is BMC’s sixth edition and it felt like the right time to move to a location like the British Airways i360. The tower itself is a great centrepiece, but we’re able to utilise the whole venue, which is incredible, and means we can further develop the conference programme, technology showcases, and networking areas. The event schedule has grown again and we’re attracting worldclass names and brands to come and talk here, as well as the industry pros, students and enthusiasts looking to break into the business. Brighton has really embraced what we do, and it’s an exciting time for us and the city”.

This year’s sponsors, Scan Pro Audio, are the UK’s leading audio PC manufacturer and digital music production specialists. Scan’s Tom Francis is enthusiastic about the brand partnership:

The quality of BMC’s lineup is unparalleled, and features many of our existing customers. BMC is a perfect match for us as the conference attendees really appreciate demoing the latest DAW PC’s and studio kit that we bring to the show, especially Audeze, the world’s finest studio headphones.”
