 After their first pairing on 2014’s fan-favourite ‘Sparks After The Sunset’, Cosmic Gate and Sarah Lynn reteam for the next single to be taken from ‘Materia Chapter.Two’.
On ‘Folded Wings’ Nic & Bossi develop a backing that’s as light-of-touch as it is upbeat & radio engaging, while its mainline delivers an irrepressibly elevating, high-on-life vibe. Sarah’s voice retains its amazing ability to emotionally affect, while her goosebump-inducing chorus and lyrically embracing verse draws you deeper and deeper in.
After his ‘Sparks’ rework, the assured remix hands of Rafael Frost once again are passed the reins of a Cosmic Gate/Sarah Lynn production. Giving it a sizeable bump in the dancefloor direction, he serves ‘Folded Wings’ its clubbier revision. Nudging the tempo a touch and intensifying it LFO signature, it adds big squelch distortion to the brew. Contrasting it with chiming, diffused piano & minor note sub-melodies, in the drop its quick flaring FX filters preface its big, stabbed riding mainline.
