 Its been a while since Norman Cook put together a mix compilation but the wait is over as he takes his Fatboy Slim sound and in injects a little Brazilian flair for his new album 'Bem Brasil'...
With a world cup coming in just a few days has Norman Cook put the England shirt in the bin in place of a Brazilian one? You would have got that impression with his samba flavoured mix compilation that got a release today. He’s gone full on Brazilian with plenty of traditional flavour to be found over the course of two mixes. He’s even put a little carnival flavour on top of one of his old classic tunes, It’s no longer everybody loves a 303; It’s everybody loves a carnival. It’s an interesting direction to go for the Fatboy and reading a few reactions around the scene it’s a hit and miss. If you’re into that samba, brazilin house style of sound this will go down well. If you’re expecting ‘You’ve Come A Long Way Baby’ style of sound, you will hate it. Digital edition just has the tracks, the CD has the two mixes are both are available right now.
