Carlo Calabro looks to start the new year with a serious bang with the release of his new single forthcoming on his very own imprint, 'Fight On Sissy Lane'. There is nothing 'sissy' about this tech monster though, it's a meaty one...
If you have yet to sample a taste of the production style of Carlo Calabro then now’s the perfect start. He set his very own label up last year and its now onto the third release with another tech driven monster from this highly talented producer. He’s been hailed by the likes of Christopher Lawrence on his ‘Rush Hour’ radio shows in recent months and it was that very show I had my first taste of his music. He hails from Poland, not really known for its big trance or progressive scene. You may wonder why he just releases the single track on his releases, but after hearing what he has to offer the one track is more than enough.

:: Fight On Sissy Lane
The sound of Carlo if you’ve ever had a taste of his previous productions has its own cutting edge. He creates a very dark atmosphere within his mainly tech driven trance productions. ‘Fight On Sissy Lane’ is one moody son of a bitch with a dark melody and one monotonic bass line. Heavy and rich percussion really drive the underground feel to this track with a series of moody pads giving depth. There is nothing ‘sissy’ about this electronic explosion from Carlo, this is full on! Instantly addictive to the ear from the very first kick, the huge sound in this tech trance monster will leave you itching for more.
Conclusion:
I'd say this is his best one on the label yet. He's carved out his own production style which is evident if you flick back a few releases but he's gone dark, moody and mono tech with this new thumper. Just make sure your bass cabs are in good nick before you run this one through, it's liable to do some damage!
