You all know what a trance powerhouse Enhanced Recordings are and their latest single release is no exception. Ferry Tayle drops in with a blend of world class uplifting trance that will get your ear drums exploding with movement..

A label like Enhanced Recordings needs little introduction to trance fans as they have built up a reputation for being one of the most forward thinking labels on the scene today. Their latest release come from one of trance music’s most promising talents in for the form of Ferry Tayle. He has had two previous releases on the label with the gymnastically inspired ‘L’Acrobat’ and ‘Trapeze’. Both very fine releases in their own right since his move to the label from Camouflage, who he released his debut artist album back in 2008 called ‘Carnet De Vol’. It was that album that brought for me one of his finest single’s to date in collaboration with Manuel le Saux called ‘Roma Airport’. If you remember how gorgeous that record was you should be chomping at the bit to hear his new one on Enhanced, ‘The Prestige’.

:: Original Mix
:: Temple One Pres: Tu Casa Remix

The Original Mix is a euphoric ride from start to finish. You know there is something about a track when skipping through the midst of new releases on a Monday when it grabs you attention on the very first scan through. Ferry Tayle not only grabs your attention, he almost steals it from you. Right from the word go the tracks pumping kick drum and lead synth that drops with a short break before sliding underneath to drive into a leading melody. That driving sound is really put into full flow when it drops the key changes and starts to build up to the main break, sweeping away the percussion and then slowly filtering down the main beat. The break is deeply atmospheric with delicate keys dropping in with an echo and the main melody building up. The backing pads and sweeps of bass driven chords all lead into an explosion of uplifting euphoria when the beat builds and the melody drops in full flow. The elements all work as one to create an immensely driving trance record that will have you coming back for more.

Temple One drops in here with his ‘Tu Casa’ guise and delivers something more chilled than the pounding original. His mix here does have a slight progressive edge to it and a mellow tempo to the whole track. The main beat drives in that deeply mellow sound and the atmospheric sweeps, keys and sythn leads and nothing short of dramatic. You could just about get away with calling the lead bass line a little moody at first before the backing sweep that leads into the break by coming from the deep and right into the limelight. The break is sweetly done, piano keys highlight the main melody of the original and it’s all very relaxed in comparison. I really do like what Temple One has done with his remix, offering a different note to the original but keeping with that same sense of uplifting drive to the mix. The sounds in here are simply gorgeous as you would expect from a producer like Temple One who has crafted some sensational music throughout this year.

Conclusion:
This is by far the best Ferry Tayle production I've heard all year without any doubt, just a shame it drops a little late for Armin's Tune of The Year really but it gets our 'Tune of The Week'. The euphoria of the original is given a chilled shade for the more relaxed trance fan by Temple One. Both supremely good mixes but I'd dive for the original mix first.
