If you were ever in need of just how popular the Trance sound is over in Ireland then here it is. All the tracks you will find in here mixed together by Gary Maguire were all born and bread Irish. Ok, so a few may be remixes but the production is still Ireland all over. Just looking at the records on this and quite a few stick out as firm favourites without even getting that far into the mix. Two of the very best uplifting Trance tunes for me this year have come from Greg Downey and Adam Foley with ‘Global Code’ and ‘Fourteen Falls’, a track that rounds off the mix perfectly. The sound is immensely driving, deeply rich with passion and banging in every sense of the world. Those two tracks however do no represent the full story of this mix as it’s so much more in depth than just an uplifting Trance as it’s finest. You will find a mixture of Techno and darker shades of Trance mixed in here with one being at the very start with John O’Callaghan’s ‘Joint Operations Center’ track ‘Cramped’. John’s music has taken off over the past two years and he has really come of age as a producer, especially after the successful birth of his second artist album. The first was really just a collection of his singles but the second really developed him as a producer. His ‘JOC’ alias takes on a techier, rougher style that his more traditional productions, of which Gary has also banged in the mix here with one of his latest tracks ‘Stalker’.

It doesn’t take long before Gary induces some serious uplift into proceedings with an almighty remix from Tom Lavin & Adrohan of Matthew Dunne’s ‘Kaktai’, if you ever needed a soundtrack to make the plant the title hints its named after then this tune is it. Their mix is a full force Gail when it drops the melody that is very dark with its melodic tone and one that fist right into ‘Stalker’ that drops in without you even knowing Gary’s mixed it. It’s super track selection throughout this mix and a varied journey from start to finish. Your ears will take a dam god battering by the ferocious battering early in this mix with tracks like Paul Webster’s remix of John Gibbons & Scimon Tist – Maktub, then mesmerised by the dreamy break in Mark Young & Damo Kay’s remix of Indecent Noise - Tri Stars. They may be names you might not have heard of but are sure to be another batch of super talented Irish Trance names to pop up more over the next few months.

You will find plenty of reasons why Gary Maguire is one of the most talented new producers on the circuit at the moment, not just behind the decks. He’s jammed in a few of his own productions in here with one of his latest singles ‘Secrets’, a track which takes on a very bright atmosphere and harmonic vocal elements in what is a huge uplifting melody. Its records like that which really put you in a good mood! After that though, things get a bit more aggressive with some edge of your pants trance kicking off with Simon Patterson’s remix of John Askew – Blackout. If you like a few tech and techno influences in with you thumping Trance then the next few tracks will do the job just right. Two new Irish names, for me in any case, Ian Booth and Mike Levy have a bright production future ahead of them if ‘illumi’ and ‘Groove On’ are anything to go by.

It's a really superb mix from start to finish and a reminder, if you needed any, just what talent the Irish scene has brought to the Trance market, not to mention what a promising talent Gary Maguire is! He rounds off this mix with a new track from another producer who has also been highlighting himself as one to watch out for over the past few years, Bryan Kearney. The polishing euphoria of ‘Fourteen Falls’ from Adam Foley is nicely roughly setup by his own remix of a K90 track ‘Dreamer’. Gary remix is superb as you would expect.

Conclusion:
The start of what I'm sure will be a very mouth-watering series of compilations from Trance acts the world over with the first being a class act collection of Ireland's finest. One of those is of course Gary Maguire who slots them together perfectly for a steaming hot mix any Trance fan should not be without!
