Danjo is back on the legendary In trance We Trust label with a new collaboration with aXess. Danjo's no stranger to teaming up with fellow producers in the studio and it usually leads to a good outcome, his latest is no exception...

Ever since Danjo split from his long term production partner Rob Styles he's been knocking heads with other electronic talents to great effect. His last release here on i:Vibes was with JPL for the euphoric anthem that was 'Ages'. Things take a different route for his latest bashing of heads as he collaborates with Lebanon based producer aXess. The result is split between a hard edged bass driven goliath and classical piano melodies. Picking the leftovers is the new talent of Skytech which is a team of Polish producers known as Julian Dziewulski & Mateusz Dziewulski (I think they chose right when coming up with an alias don’t you?).

:: Club Banger Mix
:: Syktech mix

It's the Club Banger Mix which sea’s Danjo lock production horns with aXess for the first time. aXess is an artist that you may have come across if you like your ambient stuff as he had a concertina of albums out from 2002 to 2005, none of which I have ever checked out as I'm not one for the chilled stuff to be honest. It's delivered beautifully into this track though as the bradkdown is one huge emotional piano melody with harmonic sweeps adding some classical feel to it. Push together an emotional string to compliment the piano and lead things up a synth melody that's born out of it. The percussion in the intro, sharp kick drum and electric bass line may hide that classical break but when it returns it does so with impact. A break of almost silence hits before a robotic bass chord lets rip, one of those deliveries that makes a room go boom! The underlying melody that sweeps over it is light and has an uplifting flow. The overall blend here is one of classic symphony and tearing bass lines that work well together.

Syktech have only really been putting out records since 2008 and are one of the new names on the trance scene. They have done a really nice job with the remix here adding in a meatier low end after the break but still keeping the atmospheric sweeps of sound that drive an emotional feeling through the track. The beat, kicks, stabs and percussion are soft and sweet with a harmonic backing chord sweeping in and out adding texture to the sound. The classical piano keys have been cut out but replaced with soft dropping keys that go well to lead up the deep, gritty and electrifying bass line that growls under the harmonics.

Conclusion:
It's another thumbs for this latest collaboration for Danjo with a tale of two sounds for the Club Banger mix and a sweetly uplifting melodic remix from newcomers Skytech who do their reputation no harm with their very sweet remix.
