Digging up a classic house anthem from 1992 is UK based producer Mark Wilkinson who has brought new life to Degrees of Motion's 'Shine On'. It's an update any House fan will lap up...

Mark Wilkinson is one very talented house music producer here in the UK and has been around on the dance music scene for many years. His latest production piece has taken the 1992 classic house anthem by Degrees of Motion known as 'Shine On' and given am up to date flavour. Mark Wilkinson has endured a horrific last four years having been diagnosed with Rheumatic Disease, but after years fighting it he has thankfully made a full recovery and is back to pumping out quality house. He's also spreading awareness for suffers of the condition through charity marathons and is looking to raise a million pounds to be given to charities that help sufferors cope with the condition. We here wish him all the best with his efforts and are thankful that he has made a full recovery from his illness.

:: Radio Edit
:: Original Mix
:: Dub Mix

It's good news he did because now he's back on form he can start to get back involved with the music that he has produced, spun and remixed over the years. He's made a good start with this new remake of an old house track that I am sure you know. If you need reminding, have a listen to the original here. His remake drops an upbeat house sound adding a little funky flavour to proceedings. The Radio Edit drops you a short cut of the track for the time pushed music admirer and leaves you with a good impression. The vocal is still vibrant and well engineered into the track, with the classic uplifting piano keys dropped in but it's all lead by a perky backing riff and just as funky percussion. If your not found of vocals then pop the Dub mix in as it cuts out the lead vocal and just pops in the main vocal that comes in peak track. The Original Mix is where you should be paying your attention here, great building beats and kicks with a funky rhythm all the way through.

Conclusion:
Vibrant house flavours is what Mark has put into this classically deep house anthem from nearly two decades ago. It's no discredit to the original as the main feel for the track has not been tampered with; it's just been slipped a slightly more modern sound. One for those summer days sipping a cold one by the pool, or sat with a jumper on by the radiator if you’re in the UK like me!
