A very new talent and fresh face on the dance music scene is Polish producer P.A.F.F., otherwise known as Pawe³ Kasperski. Here is he debut release with a remix from Sonic Division.

Not heard of him before? Unless you go out and about for a pint (or a nice glass of cordial as he's only 17) with Pawe³ Kasperski you will not have unless your one a DJ like Ferry Cortsen and Markus Schulz who have been sliding this debut release from the guy in their sets of late. Ferry was so impressed with this track he signed it to his very own Flashover Recordings label and is currently out right now. I would mark this release down as trance with sparklers in a very much sound on the same level as Andy Moor and Markus Schulz tracks. Even better is a super remix from Sonic Division.

:: Original Mix
:: Sonic Division Remix

The Original Mix starts off with a deep thundering beat and kick. A sweeping background sound feeds in and in drops a massive electric riff that cuts and bends with little beat cuts. In the background is an old school sounding piano riff with lots of sounds acidic sounds over the top. The main killer riff on the build is a real speaker tester and would knock a filling out if you put your face to one. The main break comes in with the beat cutting away with the riff. A building background pattern feeds in with deep groove changes on the bass. Its a warning of the bright energetic melody that is about to go bang in your face to be followed with a electro bass groove and building beat. The melody on this is superb and the beat pounding away gives it real aggressive feel. It pans out and the track goes back to the lead riff as it winds down.

The Sonic Division Remix takes that main melody and takes inspiration from Andy Moor's style of producing. Not saying that this is a rip off his tracks but that’s the kind of sound you can expect for in this remix. The beat is more punchy rather than deep and pounding and the track is more progressive with its build and structure. The main airy bright build that twinkles along the track is nicely worked along with the deep bass groove and various kick stutters in the distance. The main riff on here comes in the form of a well put together string of bright chords layered over the top of the build melody. The hook in here will keep you coming back for more.

As debut releases go this is very good. The original and the remix are both top quality tracks with Sonic Division doing an excellent job at twisting the original into an energetic peak time record. You could call it a little progressive with the sound of the remix but the sounds in here are fresh, bright and grab your attention with their energy. I'd definitely recommend you get hunting this one down, both the original and the remix as they are two super tracks.
