Arizona & Greg Murray step up to present the sweet little trance number 'Daylight' on the Afterglow label. This disc features the mellow trance Original Mix and the epic and uplifting Mystery Islands Remix...

With appearances on Platipus, Anjunabeats and Lost Language, Arizona & Greg Murray find their way onto Afterglow and definetly live up to expectations with Daylight. Heres the breakdown of the two mixes...

:: Arizona & Greg Murray - Daylight
:: Afterglow
:: AGR0136

A1: Original Mix
The Original Mix is fairly mellow piece of trance. A standard beat, percussion and bass with a layer of synth over the top. The breakdown is very long, consisting of an ambient section followed by a more active section which features a rather tinny sounding synth. There are no more surprises and the track continues onwards until it reaches the end. The Original Mix is also rather short, at around 5 and a half minutes long.

B1: Mystery Islands Remix
This remix begins with a jumpy bassline and nice solid beat. It adds some rather unique sounding percussion and a heavily filtered layer ontop of the bassline. This is layered upon soon after with some ambient backing chords and little dabs of synth over the top. Now the Mystery Islands Remix comes into its own. A breakdown comes about, providing a chance to introduce and build up a synth, which is introduced gently in a powerful yet graceful build up. When the tune drops and the melody begins, this track really stands out from the crowd. A high pitched, reverbed, epic sounding synth soaring over a solid supporting sea of bass playing a dreamy melody which melts into itself and the surrounding sound. Excellent!! The synth is removed soon after for a little rest period, then a similar breakdown ensues with a repetition of the build-up and the following glorious main synth section. Unfortunately, the end soon comes about, removing the synth, then the bass, then the percussion, where it then reaches its finish.

Conclusion:
The Mystery Island remix steals the show and saves the day at the same time. Simply put, this remix is absolutely superb. The original is a solid piece of calm trance, but the remix just has the melody and synth driven power, epicness and feeling that make up the main ingredients of all supreme quality trance.
