Well its been a hell of along time since i have done a diary so here is a full upate of what i have been up to over the past 9 months...

The 25th of May 2005 saw me hop on a 4:30am plane to head half way around the world to Beijing, China. Sadly there are no straight flights so i spent 7 hours in Amsterdams amazing Shipol airport.

26/05/05

8:15 (beijing time) - I arrive some what tired and meet Dj Ken and Kirstena who had brought a driver to pick me up and take me to the Hotel which is about 5 minutes walk from the club im djing at.

18:30 - I am picked up and taken to a restaurant next to the club to have some real chinese food, but sadly i can not use chopsticks so i have to make a fool of myself and ask for a knife and fork. The food is very different to the restaurants and take aways we have in the UK. There are many more flavors and i tried a few things that i never want to go near again.

21:00 - We head next door to the club to check out the crowd and meet and great who will be there tomorrow night. The club is very fancy with loads of seating areas and a very nice bar in the middle that people dance on. Its only polite to drink what you are offered so i got rather wasted that night on a cocktail of all sorts i had never heard of. The only draw back was they have rather different toilets to ours. We finally leave and get to bed aroudn 03:30.

27/05/05

Im up by 08:00 and for a minute i wonder why i woke up so late. The it dawns on me, drinking is bad and i have to go and become friendly with the hotel toilet for a while.

16:00 - I head to the club to check the sound system out with rather a big headache but its my fault so i can't really moan. The system is nice and low and behold they have denon dns cd decks just like mine at home so i know exactly how to use them.

22:00 - Atfer a few hours sleep i get up and head to the club. There are a few poeple i know there from last night so i hang around with them and we spend alot of the time trying to have conversations with hand signals.

00:00 - The crowd is packed there must be over 2000 people crammed in there is no where to walk but as soon as i get up a little path way opens up and i head to the dj booth slightly nervous ready to take my place. This is only my 2nd house gig so i had to shake the nerves and just get down and party.

02:00 - After 2hours of pure house music dropping remixes, funky and progressive stuff the crowd are going nuts. The pictures are brilliant that i got while i was up there and i can't wait to show everyone back home.

03:00 - I can't stay longer in the club im jetlagged and need to sleep so i bed everyone fairwell and head back to the hotel for a well earned sleep before i have to head back to the UK.

Its been a great few days i wish i could have stayed longer but too much to do elsewhere sadly.
