Biography:
Born in Lancashire, but based in Aberdeen, Transa are brothers Dave and Brendan Webster. Influenced at an early age by the likes of 'Oxygen' and later Depeche Mode, Transa's 'Prophase/Interphase' and 'Enervate' tracks, originally released on Hook in 1996 and 1998, were subsequently snapped up by Perfecto, and alongside more recent material such as 'Astro Dawn', have garnered chart success, national radio play and critical acclaim.
They've also remixed BT, BBE and Blue Amazon, been championed by progressive's leading lights Nick Warren, Paul Oakenfold and Ferry Corsten and produced material under a variety of guises that includes Cascade, Ascention and Transa. More suited to Fabric's caverns than Gatecrasher's stadiums this is music for the DJs to work with and the dancefloor to groove to. Transa 2001. No extended remixes, angelic vocals or crashing synths. Just progressive dance music made for dark rooms and big speakers.
Upcoming is a nice remix of Christopher Lawrence's "Nitro" which is due out on Hook Recordings pretty soon with remix deadlines coming through at the beginning of June 2002.
The boys have also just released an album titled "Chronology" with a number of quality new tracks including Marcato and Excited, so be sure to check those out in your record store!
