Solarstone’s latest single came out just before the end of last year but may well be one of the best tunes for 2014 with Giuseppe Ottaviani and Alucard remixes of ‘Lovers’ featuring the vocals of Lemon…
With all the looking back on the past twelve months around the Christmas period it’s easy to forget that you do get some real gems released around the back end of December. One such trance item is the latest single from Solarstone to be plucked from his last artist album ‘Pure’. The track in question is a beautiful trance piece called Lovers which gets the pure trance treatment alongside remixes from Italian Giuseppe Ottaviani and Alucard.

There is a fair chance Solarstone’s last album is still in the rotation on many trance fans playlists so you should be very familiar with the original album version of Lovers. The vocal on the track and gorgeous piano melodies give it a true uplifting feel and it’s that signature Solarstone soundtrack from which he’s used many of music greats from past times for inspiration. In order to push the track into a solo single release he’s gone for the present and future for their take on matters. The fusion of Solarstone’s sound mixed with Giuseppe Ottaviani’s always brings very pleasant results with his remix here being no exception. It takes the tempo and turns it up a little bit and drives uplifting melodies to a new level. His remix is stunning.
The pure mix is one Solarstone used in his Pure Trance mix compilation which injects the track with a little more aggression and drive. For those who don’t like the vocal, I can’t see why you wouldn’t though as it’s superb, there is an instrumental mix in here for you. For the more progressive and slightly down tempo take on the track you can try out Alucard’s string driven rendition using very well blended guitar effects that work seamlessly with the vocal.
Conclusion:
Even though this came at the back end of 2013 it should be a release you continue to play well into 2014. The pick of the remixes come unsurprisingly in the form of Giuseppe Ottaviani who has a rich history at making good records with Solarstone. I can’t wait to se what Solarstone has in the pipeline for this year as 2013 was another epic for him.
