© Taken from Avex's WebsiteFor those of you who were there, know how good the live performance was, special effects, the mirrorball, the fireworks, and of course the MUSIC. [i:Vibes] asked Piet & Benno some questions about Trance Energy, about their experiences, feelings and ...

Hey Piet and Benno, here we are again with some questions.

Around 30,000 people were at Trance Energy, and a lot off them were present at the time you did your live performance, so here are the questions about your live performance, and some other questions.

Did you enjoy the live performance?
Piet & Benno: For us it was the best ever!

How long did you prepare before you actually decided, OK, now we are ready for the live show?
Piet & Benno: This one took 1.5 months, because we already produced the tracks for the album.

How do you start working on a live performance?
Piet & Benno: Normally we start with making tracks in our studios, and afterwards we convert them to our live gear. When the set is finished we decide who is doing what, and then of course rehearse, rehearse, and rehearse!

The reason why your album was delayed was because you wanted to put a DVD of the live performance with it? Any special reason for that?
Piet & Benno: We wanted to have some special extra on our album, also because our live set is a more harder version of the album.

What did you think of the crowd during the performance?
Piet & Benno: What other crowd could we wish for? Brilliant!

And who’s idea was it to have a mirrorball with a girl on it, covered in mirrors? Because that was unbelievable.
Piet & Benno: This idea came up while discussing our entertainment part of our show with ID&T!

What show did you enjoy most? Sensation or Trance Energy? Why?
Piet & Benno: For us that would be Trance Energy, because that show was better.

Will we see more of your livesets? During other shows in the near present?
Piet & Benno: We have decided not to do too many sets, especially in Holland where we don’t want people to see the same show twice.

What’s the first thing you think when you see all those thousands of people jumping up and down to your tunes?
Piet & Benno: It cannot be described! It’s a good feeling for sure!

Will the album cost more with that DVD?
Piet & Benno: These are things which are decided by our record company and not by us.

Question for Benno: Is there a new Kamaya Painters coming in the future, or has that project been stopped?
Benno: As DJ Tiesto and me have very busy schedules, we haven’t found the time yet, but I think in the future we will!

Any chance of seeing you in the US or Canada, sometime?
Piet & Benno: For the time being we don’t have plans yet, but we would love to cross the seas.

Or maybe considering a world tour with your new live performance?
Piet & Benno: We will travel the world next month as we will visit Japan.

Are there any trance sites you frequently visit?
Piet & Benno: We check trance.nu and clubchart.nl once in a while, but we don’t spend that much time surfing....

You have achieved a “GOD-like” status, everyone knows Airwave, you’re two of the most famous producers. You have achieved almost anything, but is there something you still want to achieve?
Piet & Benno: After all things we have accomplished, we are quite satisfied with the work we have done so far, but continuing making good music would be something!

Where do you see yourself in 3 to 5 years? Still making music, and doing sets? Or having a 9-5 job?
Piet & Benno: Hopefully we can keep continuing producing tracks, because its still fun to do.

Will there be a new vocal track similar to “Such is life”? If so, who would you like to work with?
Piet & Benno: We don’t have plans yet, but we don’t plan that far ahead, so we will see in future!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to speak to [i:Vibes] once again.
