Ever browse a website and find a track that makes you instantly click "Add to cart"? This track is one of those. No ceremonial double-checking, no fast-forwarding to see what else was in store, I just bought it outright. You probably will too.

Destion One - Original Mix opens up with a fairly simple, if somewhat soothing melody. The breakbeat drops in around the 40 second mark, which also is the point where the melody fades out, creating a rather unique feel right off the bat. It's re-introduced shortly thereafter, and the bass drops in around 1:40. These two producers clearly aren't ones to muck about with endless breakdowns and build-ups. The bassline itself is a very simple, thick number that compliments the melody exquisitely, and is reminiscient of something you might hear from Silicone Soul. From that point on the tracks floats about, flitting back and forth between the melody, bassline, and beat. There's nothing truely exceptional about the way it's done, it's just the fact that they're very well-done that stands out. All in all, the original mix isn't making any huge waves in terms of ingenuity - but sometimes sticking with something a little more standard is welcome.

Gift's Digital Dub is a bit of an odd title, since the original itself had no percievable vocals - nonetheless, it turns out to be a right powerhouse. No starting this one off with a melody, Gift goes straight to the beat. He doesn't waste a lot of time getting things going either - precisely at 1:15, he drops a monster of a bassline that would make Chable break down and cry. Hard, thick, stereo-destroying throbs pump out of this track with no remorse aside from a brief break in the middle of this track. There's a very minimal melody that makes appearances throughout, but they're hardly noticeable next to the monster that Gift created. While this track may not be heavy on layers, or complex in terms of structure, it does what Electronic Dance Music was made to do: Make you dance.

Conclusion:
Two excellent tunes from two very talented artists. Definately keep your eyes and ears open for this one, they're definitely two of the finest tracks I've heard so far this year.
