© from label itselfAfter a few months of silence, Adam Freeland has finally written a letter to the masses about what happened to his label and why he continued and when the Evil9 Album will be out and when the release of Crooked will happen. Check it out

Originally Taken from the MarineParade Email

September 13th, 2004.

Hi

I am delighted to announce that as of immediate effect, Marine Parade is back up and running and fully operational.

Old Marine Parade had to go into liquidation due to a tricky situation with the debt collectors of our bankrupt ex distributor 3MV. Its been a traumatic few weeks dealing with the repercussions, it was especially painful timing as it was the week before the supposed release of Evil Nine's debut album. I would like to offer my sincerest apologies to anybody who the fall may have affected.

But I am euphoric to announce that the Evil Nine album 'You can be special too' is being stocked back into the stores as of immediate effect.

The next Evil Nine single 'Crooked' featuring Aesop Rock, with a Bassbin Twins remix on the flip has thus far had a very limited dj promo mailout through Whitenoise in the UK. It is number 1 in both Dj, and Capital Radio beats charts. Copies have been selling on e-bay for up to $80US! It seems that it's one of the most sought after records of the year! The new release date for Crooked will ben announced in the next few days.

Freeland's debut artist album 'Now & Them' is also being sold back into the stores now, and the new single 'Mind Killer' with mixes from Ils, Jagz Kooner & Origin Unknown will be released in the next 2 weeks.

The new Marine Parade Website will also be up within two weeks. So if you are having problems finding our stuff, wherever you are in the world, you will be able to get hold of all of our catalogue as physical stock sent to your door or digital download direct from MarineParade.net (we will do an e-mailout to notify you when it's up).

I would like to profusely thank everybody who has so enthusiastically supported Marine Parade over the past six years. My mission with the label has always been to release the finest quality music that works for the head and soul just as much as it does for the dance floor, and to keep pushing the boundaries rather than sticking with one specific
formula just because it worked. Marine Parade has seen the release of house, drum& bass, hip hop, broken beat, dance-hall, rock and dub as well as some of break-beat's most classic moments, which is what we are best recognised for.

After the trauma of the last couple of months events, I was over the stress of it all and seriously considered leaving Marine Parade behind me so I could focus on my own creativity. Having a business as well as trying to be an artist /dj has often torn me in what has felt like conflicting directions. But the main two reasons I soon realised I had to do everything I could to relaunch the label as soon as possible is the
amazing support I have received from all over the planet. I have been astounded by the amount of good will for what we do out there (thank you SOOOO much for your encouragement, it has meant everything to me) and secondly I just HAD to release the Evil Nine album 'You can be special too' which is, without doubt, the finest release to have come out of the Parade and I cant describe how proud I am of this record. Its a true masterpiece. So big up the Evils, and big up yourselves.

May great music flourish.

Love and eternal thanks,

Adam Freeland
