 This year marks the 25th anniversary of the legendary house music label Defected and one nice new release this year is a special book documenting 25 years in the house…
It’s crazy to think that Defected is now 25 years old. This house label from the UK which over the years has grown and grown into the powerhouse it is today known all over the world. They have had countless releases during the two and half decades and have run club nights and events at the world’s biggest venues with just about every big name DJ you could think off. It has been a journey which is not stopping now and will no doubt see another 25 years as house music is as popular now as it ever was.
The label will be doing some very special things this year to mark the milestone and one such item being released is a limited edition book print going back over the years and telling the stories that made what the label is today. There are interviews with the founders, producers, label friends, DJ’s, staff and fans who have been involved with Defected during its time so far. If you ever wanted a printed history of one of the biggest house music labels on the planet this book is it.
They are only printing 2500 copies of this and at £50 it may seem a little steep but for the history and exclusive inside point of view I’d say its well worth it as like the music it’s something you can enjoy time and time again.
