Sunny Lax returns to Anjunabeats with his latest single EP 'Misgrey' featuring the uplifting remix skills of Adam Nickey. Two of the most euphoric producers around on the same release can only result in one outcome...
The kind of Trance that Sunny Lax and Adam Nickey produce capture the sound that the Anjunabeats label has become world famous for. The past productions from Sunny Lax include the excellent 'P.U.M.A', 'M.I.R.A' and more recently last year 'Aurora'. The man behind the alias is Levente Márton and he began producing music at the tender age of thirteen in his homeland of Hungary. He has had four singles on the label so far and this will notch up his fifth and quite possibly his best. That's partly due to the addition of Adam Nickey who slips in one of his best remixes I've heard him compose.

There are a few things that grab you with this Original Mix. The first being its warm and inviting build up using a snippet of female harmonic vocal to add a little emotion into the track. The second are the deep driving changes on the bass line complimented by rumbling rolling bar lead. It’s that bar that drives you into the main break down of the track and its here where Sunny has earned his keep. In drops an atmospheric backing chord and fills it with emotion using the female vocal. That is just the beginning because after sweeps of sound filling the bass line the main melody starts to build then kicks in with the beat. All the elements fit well with sparkling upbeat keys dropping along with the melody. Add to that a punchy set of kicks and hats and you have a finely crafted piece of Trance by Mr LAX.
If there is a producer who knows how to string together and uplifting piece of music then it is surely Adam Nickey. His past examples in both remix and his own production work have carved him a reputation as one for the most euphorically gifted artists on the scene. His remix here is quite enthralling to listen to. The female vocal that is used in the original is put to great effect by Adam here with him notching up the BPM a little. It begins right from the onslaught with a harder main beat and more aggressive bass line. The keys begin early with a leading string that builds up backing harmonics before the beat cuts and before you know it your well into the main break. It’s got uplifting euphoria written all over leading with a piano string to introduce the ever building melody. Rolling up a beat from the background until the whole track explodes with the melody in full flow. The chord changes and female vocal give the mix deep emotion and uplifting flavour.
Conclusion:
It’s another fine release from this young and talented producer who has already set the scene alight with some super euphoric trance already. I don’t think his original offering is his best work but the pick on this single for me is the exceptional remix from Adam Nickey, it’s a stunning piece of work.
