History:
One World Music was formed from the parent company New World Music in March 2002. It was an idea between Mike Hennessy, who was the director of New World and Leigh Wood, who was the general manager. It was launched a short time later with the ever popular Zen Connection 1, which sold a lot of albums, which was a fantastic start. Leigh Wood now runs the One World Music label, which takes a more youthful approach compared to New World Music. They are pushing more of their own kind of downtempo and world music.
