 Billy Daniel Bunter’s Love Dover Generation book, which looks back into the early days of the rave scene from his own eyes is being turned into a film…
The early days of the rave scene may be ones which you were part of being there to enjoy the clubs, sounds and nightlife it had to offer. If you were not part of it looking back into it makes a fascinating read and no better place to turn is a book from rave legend Billy Daniel Bunter called the ‘Love Dove Generation’. It’s the story of the earlys days from his perspective having played an integral part in the late 80’s and early 90’s rave scene.
The good news this past week is there are plans to turn that book into a movie. The news was sent out from Billys regular newsletter and you can read that if you didn’t get it below.
This is an extra special mailout that I am excited to share with you.
If you are receiving this email, you have most probably been raving in the late 80’s early 90’s (some still raving at events to date). Bought some of our CD’s & vinyl to relive those memories. You might have even purchased my book, The Love Dove Generation.
This is the exciting bit….. The Love Dove Generation is being made into a film.
The film will centre around the 1st half of the book which was set in the heady days of the scene. With all my tales of growing up around dodge pots, colourful characters and the wonderful world of rave. The film will recreate iconic venues like Labrynth and The Sanctuary, with a back drop of original music, fashion, pirate radio, media outcry, Thatcher trying to spoil our fun. And of course, the magical Love Dove.
Here is how you can get involved.
We have partnered with an experienced film company who are looking for investors on the project, from small to large investments. The project is eis authorised which means it comes with various tax relief incentives plus a chance to get close to the film making experience. Enjoy set visit days where you will meet the cast, an opportunity to feature as extras and a red-carpet premier ahead of the film’s release.
