In a unique collaboration and music industry first, moby is releasing his new album, long ambients 2, exclusively on calm, the world’s leading sleep and meditation app – today on world sleep day.
Moby will become the first major artist to release an album via calm or other content-driven app. long ambients 2 will be available for the first 30 days exclusively on calm music, the calm apps new booming music platform. it will then become available on other music platforms including itunes and spotify.

Long ambients 2 is the sequel and companion piece to 2016’s long ambients 1: calm. sleep., a collection of minimalist ambient music which Moby had created to help him sleep, meditate and relax. released for free in partnership with wetransfer, it proved a sleeper hit – in more than one sense – with over nine million tracks streams on spotify and countless full album downloads.
this new instalment replicates the style of the original album, but takes the listeners on a deeper and more immersive journey with six soothing tracks running to approximately 37 minutes each.
