 The shortlist for the 2012 IDMAs has been announced and internationally renowned DJ/producer Markus Schulz is delighted to have picked up nominations in 3 of the Awards most hotly anticipated categories.
Now in its ninth year, Markus´ weekly Global DJ Broadcast show is in the running for Best Radio Mix Show and he´s also been nominated in the Best North American DJ category (for which he took home the award in 2009). Following the announcement of the fan-voted noms yesterday, he has also been selected for the highly prized Best Global DJ category.
Markus said: "I´m as happy as ever that my loyal fans have nominated me in 2012 and it is a huge honour to once again be featured in their shortlist for the Best Global DJ. I look forward to seeing as many of them as possible throughout the Winter Music Conference. See you in Miami folks!"

The winners of the 2012 WMC´s International Dance Music Awards will be announced at this year's Winter Music Conference, which takes place in Miami between the 16th and 25th of March.
Markus Schulz Abridged Biography: Over the last decade Markus Schulz has fused the individual musical identities of progressive, house & trance into his own creative, now inimitable hybrid sound. Through a unique alignment of headlining DJ sets, Armada and Coldharbour label output and his highly prominent Global DJ Broadcast radio show, he's spearheaded a sea change revolution in the US trance scene. This success has been reflected in weekly sets played in front of many tens of thousands, a GDJB listenership up in the millions & one Beatport chart-topper after another. Following several highly ranked positions, in 2008 Schulz broke into the Top 10 of DJ Mag´s Top 100 chart. He´s remained there for the last four straight years (polling #9 in 2011) and now stands as the busiest international DJ playing out of the United States.
