The progressive sound is one which has grown in my favour over the past few years and one compilation this year which hit all the right buttons was the last balance compilation from Nick Warren. He’s an artist who has contributed enormously to the progressive house scene over the past decade, and then some. He’s an artist who you may be familiar for putting the Global Underground label on the map with their superb mix compilations. The ‘Balance’ series is a hotbed platform for the very finest house and techno which has had the likes of Timo Mass, Joris Voorn and Paolo Mojo on previous editions. The label behind the series is an Australian one called EQ Recordings who do like their house music.

They are about to unearth more fine house with the new edition that takes the series up to 19. This time they head over to Spanish producer and DJ Henry Saiz who has been pushing his name into the scene as one to watch out for over the past few years. He had his first release back in 2006 and since continued to develop a very fine skill for creating some ear tingling electronica. He must be doing something right if a compilation series like Balance want him to knock up a mix for the latest release. It’s a series which gathers great respect for electronic music fans who like to go deeper with their beats. How deep will Henry go with 019 though remains to be seen? The track list might give you a few clues to what is waiting in store with the new Balance.
