Greetings from KMS central
There’s some exciting stuff going on at KMS headquarters here in Detroit, Michigan. As well as my DJ dates across US, Europe, Australia and Asia - this year including the Hi-Tek Soul tour with Derrick May - my KMS Records imprint is currently in one of its busiest periods in quite a long time.
At KMS, we want to create a platform for emerging talent alongside releasing some of our classic tracks with a new twist. Today – March 7 - we released an update of Reese & Santonio – “The Sound” featuring remixes by new KMS signings Kweku Saunderson and Brandon DeCarlo. The original version of this track has been the topic of controversy over the last few weeks, but after months of development, Kweku and Brandon’s new interpretations are finally ready to properly carry on “The Sound’s” legacy.
In time for Miami Winter Music Conference, KMS will be previewing the March 28 release of Brandon DeCarlo’s “Osmosis EP.” Featuring three completely original tracks, Brandon Decarlo is definitely a name to watch on the global techno scene.
Upcoming on April 18th KMS presents the next chapter for Inner City with Kenny Larkin's amazing new remixes of “The Future”
If you are planning on attending WMC please stop by the We Love Miami party on March 13 @ The Shelborne. I’ll be playing alongside old friends Derrick May, Stacey Pullen, Octave One and Jeff Mills. This is one not to miss as everyone who attended last year's Miami event will no doubt agree, it was completely off the hook!
