Sasha Confirmed For South West Four

© South West FOur The lineup for this year's South West Four keeps getting bigger by the week and it's just got bigger again this week! The legend that is Sasha has been confirmed for this August bank holiday dance music extravaganza...

First they announced one of the biggest names in dance music was to headline, Fatboy Slim. Then came the announcement that the biggest Trance DJ in the world (debate that one if you wish) Armin van Buuren was to headline as well. TO wet your appetite for this year's August bank holiday South West Four they have announced that one of the biggest names in House will be joining them, yes, it’s the legendary Sasha! Ok, so he might not just be House but he's been one of the driving forces through the scene for many years and continues to push the boundaries of electronic dance music to the limit. Sasha has been memorable for his compilations on the very well respected Renaissance and the iconic Global Underground labels over the years and is no stranger to South West Four having played at the Festival four times before.As last year’s headliner and one of the most iconic names in electronic music, Sasha is no stranger to South West Four. We’re delighted to welcome him back in 2010 as this Grammy nominated artist and acclaimed producer proves yet again why he is a true favourite amongst the SW4 faithful.

Recognised as one of dance music’s most enigmatic characters, Sasha has released some of the most memorable compilations of all time through cult labels Renaissance and Global Underground. In 2009 he released the Invol2ver album through GU and was one of the first DJs to use Ableton technology in his sets. South West Four holds a special place in his heart having headlined the first ever festival back in 2004. He returned by popular demand to headline in 2005, 2007 and 2009 and we’re delighted to welcome him back in 2010 to showcase his brand new light and visual show!
