 Things have been getting better and better since his debut on the In Trance We Trust compilation series late last year and we've a quick update from him for this month with news of his signing up to Fresh Artiste Management...
Any artist that gets the nod to mix an 'In Trance We Trust' compilation must be doing something right. Daniel Wanrooy is one who certainly has since his debut on one of trance music's most respected compilation series. His relationship with Black Hole Recordings is as healthy as ever and this little update from Daniel brings news he has signed up with Fresh Artiste Management (No, that’s not a typo, it is Artiste) who will be handling his bookings and such. Fresh Artiste Management is one of the biggest agencies in the UK and based in Sheffield, they also look after the likes of Jon O'Bir, Activa, Matt Darey, K-Klass, Adam Sheridan and Ali Wilson. His future is in safe hands. Aside from his new partner his has been busy with some new tracks and remixes this month.
New Releases
After his great success with his recent "Pretoria" release it's been remix request heaven down at Wanrooy junction. Before they all came tumbling in though, Daniel managed to finish new tracks and is pleased to report that they’ve been picked up by Black Hole Recordings, Spinnin’ Records and…. High Contrast! This is Wanrooy's official debut for High Contrast - a very respected label, which has been in the electronic dance industry for time now. It's a great honour to be part of it. Remixes
As mentioned above though things have shifted heavily down to the remix end of my studio desk of late… Daniel Wanrooy's remix of Space Rockerz ‘Weather the Storm’ has just been released on Black Hole Recordings, picking up some tremendous support along the way (including Armin, who played it on of A State Of Trance!).
Daniel also finished the remix for Thrillseekers on his already fantastic ‘Savanna’ for Armada Records. The release date will be announced later, but this release will be Huge, with a capital ‘H’! Following that Daniel went straight on to his remix for Lange Recordings; this one has a more techy drive to it and it’ll do some serious damage on some dancefloors… Last but no means least Daniel Wanrooy did one together with his friend and colleague Mark Green for The Crystal Method - a huge band from the US. It is just released on Black Hole Recordings and Ferry Corsten already played it in his Corsten's Countdown, as well as Tiësto, who supported it on the biggest Dutch radio station, Radio 538.
Gigs
The gig front is going pretty damn good! With Trance Energy coming up fast now, the schedule is filling up rapidly. Daniel just had really nice gigs in the City of Lights: Paris and right after that, Germany. The next stops will be Northern Ireland, Ukraine and Miami for the WMC. Right after Miami he has a few days to freshen up and then he's off to play at the biggest Trance event in the world; Trance Energy!! Plenty more in the pipeline too - hope to give you an update on some more cool gigs very soon.
