Sundawner, one of Finnish talent Matti Laamanen's aliases, brings us some more of the quality cool and progressive sounds that are becomnig trademark of the growing Finnish label, Finity Digital...
:: Sundawner - Bizarre :: Finity Digital :: FTYDG002
Sundawner The second Finity Digital release carries on in Finity's cool and progressive style. It's predecessor, Syna - Face Of God, was a mellow cross between trance and breakbeat, but with this second outing, Sundawner has kept things a little more familiar.
The track is focused on three things. Firstly, the beat. It is standard 4/4 but has some funky and groovy variations which create a great rhythmic sense as the track progresses without breaking up the flow at all or becoming too monotonous. Secondly, there is a delicate synth instrument which plays the 'lead'. This consists of idle, gentle notes which float across the production and serve as an ambient part almost as much as they do a lead part. Thirdly, once the track has got underway properly, there is a superb layer of synth pads which line the background. They are sustained and seem to oscillate and flow and almost pulsate at times.
The result is a progressive and ambient sound which is clean, soothing and just a downright pleasure to listen to.
Conclusion:
More quality stuff from Finity. They promised the best of Finnish talent and are still delivering true to their word.
