A: Do It Again (Ron van den Beuken Remix)

This remix is in textbook van den Beuken style. His quality combination of driving, rolling bass and a thick wave of percussive sounds gives him away every time - its simply 'that Ron van den Beuken sound'. The track is formed in such a way as to slowly increase its strength, adding backing synths and instruments to create a fuller sound as time goes on. The breakdown sees the use of Ron's updated 'Do It Again' melody. Its quite a stark sound, but with the reverb applied and the harmony created with the bassy synths, you get a techy, melodic mix which is interesting and compelling. Plus, the melody is distinct, snappy and very catchy, which is a good trait for any track to have. As usual, the track 'rests' for a short section then pumps out a final main section before its all over. A solid van den Beuken remix, culminating in a memorable and enjoyable piece.

B1: Do It Again (Remix)
The simply dubbed 'Remix' on the B1 side of 'Do It Again' is very techy and could almost fit into a techno genre. The pulses of synth and the basslines introduced as the track goes on pulls away from this first impression though and we're back into tech trance territory. The main melody is the practically unchanged original, complete with a few vocal snippets. This has a very retro effect so those who enjoy the sounds of the classics in the 90's will enjoy what they hear here. The last part of the track sounds updated though, with stabs of synth and offbeat techno snares creating an odd contrast with the previous sections of the track.

B2: Do It Again (Extended Mix)
The Extended Mix is a very basic form of the track, and is quite a lot shorter than the previous two, despite being 'extended'. Anyway, the main jist here is the hook. Its gritty and techy and incredibly animated. The sharp edged synth has some crazy rhythmic jittery moments with razor sharp timing. The overall effect is really good. Its such a clean cut, defined sound that it grabs your attention easily. Some of the basslines are quite retro in style, so you have a rather quirky tune at the end of the day.

Conclusion:
The two mixes on the B side of this record are extra bonuses because at the end of the day, you're here for the man, Ron van den Beuken. His distinct and recognisable style gets him another winner here. Its also nice that whilst employing some of the same sounds, the melody is different and stands out nicely, making the track much more memorable.
