This year another major techno night joins the already legendary cocoon night's on the island. Mauro picotto and Chris liebing present meganite @ priviledge!
With the summer fast approaching, the topic of Ibiza is never far off any clubbers mind, and this year the white isle is shaping up to be a real cracker for any techno fans out planning to depart for the white sandy beaches.
It's probably the best established clubnight on the island, but you won't find a trance dj in site. Sven vath's, cocoon, takes place every monday at amnesia throughout the summer season and plays host to the best dj's and live acts in the world. This year everything kicks off on the 21st of june with sven, ricardo villalobos and andre galluzzi providing the musical splendour. Also confirmed for the rest of the summer are dj's like richie hawtin (legend), laurent garnier (need I say more), adam beyer (three deck wizard), miss kitten (electro queen) and alexander kowalski who brings his live act to the amnesia club. This summer see's the debut of meganite_Ibiza. Mauro picotto and Chris Liebing have worked extremely hard to get this night up and running and they have scored some fantastic line-ups as well. This night will be held on wednesday's @ the huge priviledge nightclub. There was a lot of scepticism about the choice of club at first, due to the fact that it is near enough impossible to fill, but the way the event's are organised, the club will be downsized allowing for a more intimate setting and hopefully better atmosphere too. Mauro also assured me that there will be plenty of visual's to feast your eyes over, such as live dancers and fire eaters. Things kick of with the club residents Mauro and Chris, plus little known dj Lucca and producer extrordiner Riccardo Ferri doing his live act. Other Dj's to grace the decks at priviledge this summer include, Ben Sims, Steve Rachmad, Henrik B, Mistress Barbara, Gaetano Parisio and Phil kieran.
