Re:Locate also known as Paul Moelands, a young Dutch producer that seem to take a new approach to the Dutch trance. The second Galactive Records single to follow Empyreal Sun's similarly described "Twisted Reality". Read on.
There are two sides on this vinyl, check this out:
A1. Waterfall
B1. Passion
'Waterfall' starts with a solid kick and unique transformers sounds in the background.
A lift and here the bassline comes with some melodic layers; buildup melody slightly enters, it gets stronger, then without a warning another melody breaks through!
Breakdown, emotional leads covered by sweet layers and a terrific main melody, when this moment is gone the melody has left alone - it is growing. Lifts here and there till the real thing is finally shown up - Super energetic, anthemic and very uplifting. The kinda record that tops a set.. 9/10
'Passion' the B side is much calmer, but don't get me wrong.. the emotions in here are endless! soft kick with smooth hats and clap. Buildup is coming, notes are coming and going; Breakdown, another melody is here - the depth gets insane.
The main melody is a pure magic - hands in the air, uplifting into climax. If you hear this in a club you will probably fall down. 10/10
Conclusion:
Paul Moelands is defiantly the new rising star of the Dutch trance scene, amazing melodies and perfect harmonies all together. Another fine release in 'Fundamental recordings'. Also expect Re:Locate remix of Solid Globe - 'North Pole' on 'Fundamental'.
