© Provided by KayCee A brief interview with Oli Huntemann, the man who has brought so many euphoric wonders under his Kaycee guise and a bit of hard banging stuff under Taiko, spends a few moments to talk to i:Vibes

Having been producing for a number of years, Oliver is no newcomer to the scene, and his fluid productions which has gained massive support over the years has shown his sound development and aim to continue improving his sound.

Here's what he has to say:

Hi there Oli, Thanks for taking the time to do this interview with i:Vibes, and I am sure the readers will very much appreciate it.

i:Vibes First of all, how would you sum up your life so far in a couple of lines, and what highlights have there been in the past?

Oli I think I am and have been a really lucky guy. The most important thing in my life, the electronic music and the DJing, became my profession and from that, there is nothing better which can happen, is there!

i:Vibes Many people know of your tracks from the late 90s when you produced "Escape" "Like This" and the "Love Stimulation" work. In terms of remixes and productions, do you have any personal favourites?

Oli I like a lot of different artists. I love the tech-house style of Deep Dish and Tenaglia, I like DJ Tiesto, Laurent Garnier, Slam... I try to pick the pearls from each style, but I have no personal favourites, just a number of tracks I like, a bit like a pick n mix.

i:Vibes How will the sound of Kay Cee develop from now on? And what projects are on the way?

Oli I still work on the Kay Cee album and it seems that the sound will go away from these kind of uplifting trance I have done so far. I’m bored of listening to tracks where one sounds like the other. It’s time for changes and I will start a new chapter with the album.

i:Vibes You also produce under a more chunkier guise of Taiko, with superb wonders such as Silence and Das Blechtrommel and even under your own name. How do you feel about the 3 guises and what differences are there in the 2, in terms of vision and approach.

Oli I like to do different things. To have more projects is the freedom to do different work. Huntemann is more Tech-House or Techno, bringing the more underground side of things. Taiko is a simple but banging kind of off-beat-Techno or Hardhouse and Kay Cee is the most emotional project with vocals and harmonies. Each of these projects are different but each one still represents myself.

i:Vibes Any sign of a personal artist album under Oliver Huntemann in the near future?

Oli After finishing the Kay Cee album I will immediately start with productions for my Huntemann album It’s going to be a lot of work and time, but that’s my next aim.

i:Vibes Collaborations?

Oli No time at the moment really, but maybe next year. We shall see..

i:Vibes Kay Cee has not particularly been known to be a DJ outside of Europe, but is there any scope for you to expand that DJ territory?

Oli I often play in other countries all over the world. I just finished the mix for the biggest trance compilation in the USA and Canada called “Trance Mix USA and the CD will be released in September from Radikal Records in the USA. Till last year I played about one weekend per month over there. I also played in Panama, Hawaii, Egypt... There are times when I play more often in other countries than in Europe.

i:Vibes How about your opinions on the mp3 and digital revolution? Do you believe that it has positive outcomes for labels and artists? or are they the disaster of the the music industry?

Oli It’s not easy to answer this question in short sentences, but I think at least it’ll be positive to the music industry but it needs a few more years. At the moment, there are too many issues involved to have any clear opinion or view about this but we’ll have to wait and see in the upcoming years. Sorry for this short statement but it’s worth to discuss the theme for hours:-)
