On a story being fronted by his own website. I-Vibes and Above The Sky records ask. What the Hell is he up to?

I think this is a shameless plug by LifeandDeath for Above the sky. Do you realize how many deejays actually do this? Do you realize how many deejays actually find mp3's and then without buying them, put them on CDR's. At Judge Jules had the balls to own up to his mistake, unlike scores of A list deejays. The thing should have been left there, who cares what Tony Burt has to say about something else. If Judge Jules has burned Above the Sky stuff, then I can see Burt getting mad. Judge Jules has given his life to the scene (yes he may be shite now) but the man put his heart and soul into it and he helped shape the scene, where it is today. So the notion of Burt talking about it, is just pathetic, I respect Tony immensely but maybe he should tell you the real reason why vinyl sales are done in terms of trance music.
C'mon Burt, fess up, you know it is not just vinyl sales that are down in the midsts of a global downturn in the economy. No one complained when the global economy was booming about sales but that was 1999, when deejays turned out good tunes, not the seemlessly uninnovative boring shite that is made in the same mold. Buyers have a choice, not to buy or to buy, why blame mp3's about it, we all know about the success of audiojelly, itunes and others?. Music has been hit hard by mp3's at times but when the public gets the same old formulaic crappy records, just trying to get more money, then I have an issue with your quotation. Personally I have not bought a trance vinyl in over a year because the crap that is being turned out, is not worthy of my ears and till the labels get their acts together and stop trying to make easy cashgrabs, then I'll care but till then I'll continue buying the older rarer CDs that I never got the chance to buy.
I personally think the public has had it with Armin/Markus/Above and Beyond because they are giving the public, the same crap with no innovation. That's why I'm constantly scouring the world for innovative artists, it is about time that musicians woke the fuck up and gave people what they truly wanted, stuff that is completely different.

A lot of DJs do this, but not many of them are among the 200-300 best ones in the world!

That's bullshit imo, there are tons of A list deejays who do the same thing as Jules, just they don't have the balls to say that. It is time that the industry came clean with the fanbase, they don't give two shits about you, they just want your money. You don't see A list deejays bar Zabiela and Warren actually giving back to the scene. They just take and take and you reep what you sow. My opinion may seem far reaching now but wait a year and history seems to show what happens, when a genre goes too commercial, we all remember the 2001 backlash don't we?
