Elevation (as in Markus Shulz presents)

I finally got to meet Elevation (Mike) over the weekend to learn some production tips in Logic. Anyone else agree that his sounds are some of the best coming out right now? Markus Schulz did a great job in picking this kid up.

Coming out in October on Schulz's Coldharbour Sessions vol. 2, a song called Preen by him and a good friend of mine, Kenneth Thomas will be released. Look out for this track as it is blowing up now in the hands of Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schulz, Armin Van Buuren and Pete Tong.

Expect many great things from Elevation, as well as Kenneth Thomas.

I agree Elevation is putting some great things out.... I was quite disappointed to see his remix of "Beautiful Things" by Andain was not picked up, and thus never released. It was played on ASOT a few months back...maybe 6 months back? You should check it out...very chill.

Why do they say "Markus Schulz Presents..." ?? All this time I thought Elevation was Markus! Lol! Well, guess you leatrn summat new everyday! But on the topic, loving Elevation's sound! Got both Largo and Clear Blue and I spun the 'Beautiful Things' remix the otherday on my CD-mixer... Still seems to have a good effect on my friends! Very Happy

The Markus Schulz Presents is because Elevation sent Markus some material and he liked it, and decided to give him a try. If there is a bigger name dj/producer on the record, it helps the no-name guy get a push.

More people initially look at it than if it was just Elevation - Clear Blue.

I got to hear some nice mixes he was working on. He did a remix of Gouryella - Ligaya that was fantastic. The kid has more talent than I could ever wish for.

Yeah, Elevation is a good guy. I talk to him all the time, I did a guest mix with him about a month ago. Yeah that is sad that people think elevation IS markus.

I just thought Markus Schulz was Elevation but I didnt buy/listen to the tracks because it said Markus Schulz... Is ashame indeed though! Elevation is a fantastic producer and fair play to Markus for signing this guy up Smile

Kenneth hadn't even produced prior to meeting elevation. So does that mean elevation did all the work? or kenneth is a super quick learner? Iv talked to Kenneth before, seemed like a nice guy.. was a while back now though

Audiojelly is where i get mine from, huge amount of tracks on there! £1 each aswell, so its not expensive...

Only fair to support the artists and it's quicker than going to the record store and listening to everything before you buy - alot quicker when buying records because you no what you want! Smile

Being as though we're talking about it, I hope the 'Elevation Remix' does see a release, maybe with another breaks remix on the other side too??
