J00f has only wma i think, others have various bitrate mp3s and at least Beatport has wavs too.

I have never used these digital download sites yet.. i'm happy with the actual vinyls and CDs and most likely won't pay for an mp3/wma or any other p00 formats because the actual sound quality is still worse compared to the original source. Original wav burned on cd (some sites offer this service) is the only way to go for me if i have to use these sites.

Yeah I agree with you for the most part. I do, however sometimes find tracks that are hard to find on CD or vinyl but the MP3 is only a click away. I don't intend to build up my collection with MP3s from now on because as you pointed out the sound quality is inferior, and apart from anything else you lack decent covers (unless you can be bothered spending hours in Photoshop designing your own, and I really can't be bothered with that most of the time). But I do like to have access to all the possible areas to minimise the chances of missing a really great tune one day.

I was given a 10 dollar voucher for some legal download site in Canada, I bought the Stupid EP and some Kruder and Dorfmeister EP. I like it but the problem is it takes like 15 seconds for the mp3 to load and I rather have the CD with the inlay. I buy many CDs a year, I'm addicted to it but I don't think mp3 is for me. I can see it maybe working for the people who don't want to wait but I don't see the downloaders who never buy anything (who are the real problem) changing nor people like me, who buy CDs and have bought them for years. I want the real thing, mp3 does not do it for me and never will.

Yeah, well just to highlight the point I made in my previous post once more. I buy music on CD or vinyl but occasionally I'll find an mp3 when a CD or 12" are hard to find. It is for that reason and that reason alone that I am considering the occasional MP3 purchase.
