GRAHAM GOLD

GRAHAM GOLD
(Kiss 100/Good:As/Relative)

There are very few DJ’s on this planet that command total respect from other DJ’s and the indeed the entire dance music industry. Graham Gold is one of that select few. His passion for the music he loves, leaves most amazed, and his weekly Monday night radio show on Kiss 100 has been described by Carl Cox as “Truly Inspirational” and Paul Oakenfold as “Excellent”. As well as his show on Kiss (which can be heard all the over the UK on Freeview and Dab and worldwide at Kiss100.com), he also now presents a weekly Monday 4-6pm show on MOS Radio. Graham’s mixing services are also much in demand and he constantly is supplying mixes for many FM stations in the UK and for internet sites such as tranceairwaces.com-ivibes.com-www.trancemission.spb.ru-samurai.fm-cyberfactory.dj-digiatallyimported.com and Marcus Shultz Global Broadcast. He is a true top global player, and if Graham plays a record, then he is equal to Tong and Jules with the amount of props he gets from the record labels and the promotion companies.

One of the 2004 sees significant changes for one of the worlds most endearing DJ's. He proved that he is one of Top 20 Trance DJ's in the world by re-entering the all-important DJ MAG Top 100. He also walked away with Best Trance DJ at the first Worlds Underground Music Awards that were held in London in November, Graham is very much a force to be reckoned with. His wealth of experience cannot be bought and he demonstrates this every time he plays. Programming and building a set with only the best music you’ll ever hear, and taking a crowd to new heights is what Graham does brilliantly. That talent does not come by being a bedroom DJ or a young lad desperate for stardom. It comes from years of perfecting your craft – something that Graham admits, he has actually finely done!! His combination of hard progressive house, only the finest quality trance and breaks that really send a normally 4 to the floor only crowd, mental is Graham’s UNIQUE trademark.

On the production side, he has finally made it to producer status, so say the compilers of the Buzz and Cool Cuts charts. Oh yes, and Ferry Corsten said about his new track “I love this, the production is excellent and it is an every set record”, whilst Armin Van Buuren said “Great Tune, Love It, It’s Amazing, Production Is Wicked” and has featured it many times on his ID&T show. It also featured in Mixmags Must Have Top 20 Trance Tunes in the January 2004 issue.

He co-promotes, and is resident at the massive Peach night every Friday in London, which was the FIRST UK club to book Tiesto, Ferry and Armin, whilst other guests have included a who’s who in the trance arena. Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, Johan Gielen, Marco V, Mike Push, Airwave, Don Diablo, John “OO” Fleming, Guy Ornadel and Darren Tate.

Graham is regularly featured/quoted in the UK dance magazines and on websites world wide and was even included in the special Gold Edition of Vogue Magazine.

He currently runs the Good As and Relative labels, both highly regarded amongst trance fans the world over.

And a couple of little known facts. It was Graham that signed Maradonna’s “Outta My Head” to his Peach label, Graham that started Koolworld Records so the mighty “Invader” could get a release, Graham that found Mat Darey’s “Liberation” Graham (along with Giles Sawney) that put Armin on the road to world success and Graham that discovered the Rhythm Masters!!!!!!

He has played most of the big festivals-Homelands, The Love Parade, Essential Festival Brighton and Glastonbury. Internationally he has headlined in Sydney, Perth, Auckland, Wellington, Jo’Burg, Cape Town, Durban, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Toronto, Vancouver, Istanbul, Los Angeles, San Francisco, KL, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore, Malta, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Finland, and Denmark and of course the holiday islands of Ibiza, Mallorca, Cyprus, Rhodes and Crete.

On the last 3 New Years Eve, he has headlined in Dublin, Vancouver and Auckland. He also played main stage after Basement Jaxx for Summerdaze in Melbourne in front of 35,000 people in January last year. September 2001 included a tour of China and Far East, including Shanghai Stadium where Graham headlined in front of 10,000 clubbers- the reaction was phenomenal. Add to that, the 15,000 people in Johannesburg for the Camel Experience Tour and you know Graham isn’t scared of big crowds!!

One of the most important things for Graham in 2004 is new management and a new album deal. He has joined one of the worlds leading DJ artist and Management companies, Most Wanted, for the world excluding the UK. For this territory, he is now represented by Technique Dj's. He has just signed a new deal to release his first compilation album in North America. This will be released in August, and will be supported by his first proper US tour

Whilst there maybe some who say it is all about new blood, few can match the knowledge, experience, talent and passion that Graham has for the music he loves. And with the new health regime that Graham has undertaken-gone are the booze and fags-he is also taking part alongside Honey Club resident and Juice FM presenter Adam H, in this years London-Brighton charity bike ride on June 21st.

There truly is a brand new Graham Gold around for 2004. Totally dedicated and focused, he has forsaken his wild days and mad partying (though nothing will ever stop him from having a great time when he plays!!) to deliver sets that stand alongside every major trance DJ in the world. Just check out those web sites and listen for yourself!
