Frankie Knuckles is the Godfather of House music and he has been given a tremendous honor by the City of Chicago, it involves a street named after him and a Frankie Knuckles Day. What's this all about?

The article sounds pretty cool to me, but I must argue towards the end there. You cannot compare Trance to House in any shape or form, especially their histories. They both come from different elements, so do not compare them!!! While I do like both styles very much, it is misplaced to draw such a comparison.

I never said anything about one genre being better than the other. I said that without house music, you would see an altered music scene these days, remember now Chicago house influenced May and co. to create Detroit Techno and then Techno led to influence trance and other genres.

Yes that may be true in Chicago and the eastcoast scene, but here in the west and in europe its taken a whole new meaning of the history behind electronica Music.
