Post Post subject: Song suggestions? Reply with quote

Hi,

Nice to meet you all. I'm new here, and I'm glad that I've found such a wonderful website and forum!

I am just looking for some suggestions for songs that sounds and feel similar to DJ Sammy's 'The Boys of Summer'. Any ideas?

Also, does anyone know of a song that repeatedly goes "You make me feel like ..." throughout the chorus? It might not qualify as a trance song ... probably more like a chill-out.

Any help is appreciated! Very Happy

Welcome to the Boards.

Can't say I can offer any suggestions for songs like DJ Sammy, commercial stuff like that belongs in the gutter.

Check out Ministry COmpilations as they are full of it.

LOL I am relatively new to the trance genre and I have no idea how to tell the difference between commercial and non-commercial stuff Surprised

Welcome to teh forums!

Heh, i'm a sort of a n00bie here (but have been following the scene for about 20 years soon Surprised ) too but perhaps an easy start to finally reach the "fine wine" point is for example to listen DJ Sammy - The Boys Of Summer (Humate Remix). Sadly Humate Dub never got released...

Or perhaps DJ Sammy - Appalachian Fall, which shows also Sammy can make decent tracks (with help and co-production of Martin Eyerer tho).

I second checking out MOS compilations... there are so many of them though, it can be confusing. A good way can be to find a compilation with a song you like, and go from there.

For that song you wanted, perhaps it could be Becca - You Make me Feel.

For a couple artists to look into, check out DJ Tandu (Ayla), Kosmonova, Watergate, and ATB.
