Rumour has it that the Apple iTunes MusicStore will soon also be causing a stir on the European market. So far there have been repeated disputes with European royalties companies. But now all obstacles seem to have been cleared and the world’s most successful legal download store has been given the go-ahead.

iTunes sold over 50 million music downloads in its first year - that’s around 70% of the legal download market. iPod players being made Windows-compatible has certainly contributed to iTunes experiencing a boom last year.

In Europe, we may be able to use the Apple store in as early as two weeks...
