Moby and hip hop veterans Public Enemy have recorded a single together that will appear only on a compilation for the Olympic Games.

The New York producer wrote the music for the single MKLVFKWR, while Chuck D and Flavor Flav are responsible for the lyrics. The song is intended to be a protest against the war in Iraq. Moby: “We do still ostensibly live in a democracy, so my hope is that at some point the people will vocally rise up and let the current leaders know that they have had enough.”

Chuck D: “The song is a request that being a citizen of the world should transcend nationality in the name of peace.” Other tracks on the album “Unity - The Official Athens 2004 Olympic Games Album” include collaborations between Alice Cooper and Xzibit, Earth Wind & Fire and Roots Manuva plus Macy Gray with Zeziah Jones.
