It's a CD that I did look into getting but not as of yet.

Top stuff from Gielen tho I'd say. Some very nice tracks on the 2CD. There are a lot of folks who slate the man for poor mixing but from the stuff I've heard him spin, I like his stuff.

His mixing never bothered me, and it seems like he always plays nice tracks. Very Happy Another thing I liked about this mix was only one track by Svenson & Gielen, and a remix at that. Too many DJs play too much of their own stuff when they get a chance to do a mix CD. Although, I suppose they haven't released much new lately... I like their sound though. Smile

You've a point there, lots of artists cane their stuff on compilations CD's, which is ok at times but it can get a little bit annoying.

Gielen's other 2 recorded mixes, got your hands on them yet? They are on my list of CD's to get.

Nope, this is the only CD I've got from him, although I have heard a couple of his Trance Energy sets from a couple years ago.

A case in point of producers/DJs playing too much of their own stuff comes on Ferry Corsten - Global Trancemissions. Look at this tracklist:

1. Tony Walker - Field Of Joy (Ferry Corsten Remix)
2 Perpetuous Dreamer - The Sound Of Goodbye
3 Riva - Stringer
4 Soundcheque - Minddrive
5 System F - Needlejuice
6 DuMonde - Tomorrow (Moogwai Remix)
7 Tenth Planet - Ghosts
8 Starparty - I'm In Love (Ferry Corsten & Robert Smit Remix)
9 Luis Paris - Incantation (Ferry Corsten & Robert Smit Remix)
10 Kid Vicious - Re-Form (DJ Tiesto Remix)
11 Gouryella - Tenshi
12 Push - Strange World
13 Moonman - Soul On Soul (Elektrochemie LK Remix)

7 of the 13 tracks have something to do with Ferry. Rolling Eyes

Haven;t seen his other two mixes, that one just caught my eye. I have been looking into getting his mix from the In Trance We Trust series though. If I like this one, I'll take a look.
Ordered Recorded and ID&T Trance 2003 Vol.2. They're backordered right now, but I can't wait to get them! Very Happy

I can say that you would not be disapointed with his ITWT mix. Its one of the best mixes in the series in my opinion.

Good stuff! Especially CD1. CD2 is good too, lots of good tunes by not well known artists.
Interesting though, lots of new tracks on there, and then the BBE remix and Nitromethane - Time to Die (Seraque remix) and Pulser - My Relgion (Lange Mix), all older tunes.
Dallas Superstars are good too, esp. fast driving. Why Dallas Superstars though, since I think they're both from Finland.
