Hey,
Firstly, please dont view this as an advertisement, because it's nothing of the sort. I'm not trying to sell anything or make any profit from ya. I just wanted to make you folk aware of a project that we've been working on recently that might be of considerable interest to creative people like yourselves who are interested in producing and remixing music.
Over at IWFProject.com, Ark Records have released a... slightly 'risque'.. track that'll never see the light of day in the UK charts due to it's content. It's their intention to make it one of the most popular tracks to never make the charts, exposing them for the worthless listings that they really are. In order to aid it's promotion, we are encouraging people to get involved by downloading the raw stem files that are freely available for download and remixing them, adding their own personal flavour to the original track. These remixed tracks are then uploaded back up to the site for others to rate and comment on.
For those who aren't musically inclined, artists and animators are encouraged to get involved with the promotional side of things to create original artwork - such as cd covers, or even music videos.
It's a bit of an experiment to see whether people choose to get involved, but take a look at the site and see what you make of it. If you like the sound of the project, download the stem files and weave them into your own piece of musical tapestry and show the other users your true talents.
Take a peek at www.iwfproject.com and see what kind of track you can produce..

I'm not artistic or musically inclined, but this is a really cool idea.

Thanks, Viceroy. The only problem with the project is that it needs people to get involved to make it into any kind of success. Do you know of any music forums/websites that would be suitable for such a project? We're trying to find musically creative people to take a look and get involved..
Cheers..

Thanks, Viceroy. Not tried tranceaddict as yet but, as you say, it seems to be a really decent community. I'll definitely have to mention something on there once my account is activated. So far I've covered i:vibes, internetDJ, Radio Mute, Deep House Network and Dmusic.com... but we're also trying to appeal to the non-music folk to produce artwork, to get a real community thang' going on. Cheers.. =)

Song was produced in Logic using mostly a Juno 106 and drums from a Roland JV-1080.
The synth sounds through a Summit MPC-100A tube pre-amp to warm the sounds up a little bit.
Vocals through a Guyatone TO-2 Guitar overdrive pedal.
Some synth sounds put through a Boss guitar pedal.
