The scene isn't on it's arse - it's just returned to the underground man! It's gone back to its grass roots - pass me a fanzine.

It's t'internet's fault - It's dead good and it's much more up to date and cheaper than those rippin' mags.

Howdy, I'm writing my dissertation at the minute peeps and i was wondering if you had any thoughts on my topic - I'm looking at what the future holds for dance music magazines as they seem to be going a bit tits up at the minute... Do you think they are as good as they used to be, do you prefer getting your music info from web sites like this. Do you think that it's because the whole scene is on it's arse? I want to know ur views music heads... Go Go Go.

The magazines that have been laid to rest just did not do the sales they needed to keep in buisness. The only dance magazine I regulary buy, maily becuase of the mix CD with it is Mixmag. There's another one I get every now and then as it has a lot of tech DJ stuff in it. DJ Mag I think it is.

People just are not buying as many magazines as they use to and the internet is part of that, yuo can get all the information you want from there that you can from a mag.

I'd like to buy more mags but they don't sell here at all. I tried at Christmas to see if our bookstore would carry a DJ mag subscription for me and they never got back to me. I called them for weeks.
But yeah, even though I didn't vote it I think the Internet probably helps. Although most of the magazine Web sites have way too much flash!A
