Technics home stereo system.....

Has anyone got the SC EH790 or the SC DV290?

If so what are your opinions on them?

A freind of mine's brother has the DVD system.

Only used it for a breif moment of time but I found that it would not play CD-R's at all, which is a downside if your wanting to play mix CD's you made yourself or CD's you've made yourself.

The surround system is quite nice but at a very high level the two made bass speakers just where not powerful enuff for me, but then again I do live if an old farmhouse with no neighbours. For a small romm apllication I'd say it would be a nice little system.
