Post subject: Classics or Cheesey Dance ?? |
|
|
these are like the first dance songs that i ever really heard and what brought me in to the genre... i personally think they are classic tracks in there own right...
berri - sunshine after the rain
corona - try me out
alex party - dont give me your life
real mc coy - another night
real mc coy - run away
2 unlimited - no limits
.. all from around the 94/95
what you think ? classic dance traxx, or pure cheese ??

Cheese. Definitely
Tunes that got me into the scene were:
Josh Wink - Higher State
Underworld - Born Slippy
BBE - Seven Days
And the other tunes that were starting to come about round that time Moving swiftly onto CarteBlanche, Gouryella etc etc

Those where the cheese of the early 90's but I quite like them. Much betetr than the cheesy crap coming out at the moment. Or from around 2000 onwards.

Definite cheese, but, its really all relevant to your age. Not many people can claim to NOT been into cheese when they were 12 years old or anything. I hated most of those bands, but I was listnening to stuff like Ministry and Skinny Puppy by then...whole different ball of wax....I still dug Phil Collins when I was in the 4th grade...and Def Leppard by 5th grade....

To me, they seem like an equivalent to bad fashion mistakes made during the 80s. The hairstyles, miss-matched colors etc. and these songs are a bit cheesy and make you go hehe. Like the fashion mistakes of the 80s, these songs too were necessary to bring about change for the better. I give the songs props for what they are.
