Overrated/Underrated

who do you think are the most overrated/underrated producer/dj's in trance?

for underrated there are way to many to state so i'm not going to bother, but i'd be interested to hear what you guys have to say about this... but overrated, reading some of the forum topics, i'd have to say tiesto all the way.. he's good, but not top dj of the year 2 times in a row good

I think that Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk and Jezper aka Airbase are kinda overrated Rolling Eyes

... i feel most hard trance, happy hardcore, makina, techno artists are all underated...

listening to sets by them, are so much more imaginative and creative than the likes of PvD, tiesto, ferry e.t.c... Razz

Overrated: Tiesto, Armin van Buuren (post ASOT...he was great before he started that stupid radio show), and Ferry Corsten

Underrated: Noel Sanger, Jerry Bonham, Nicholas Bennison, DJ Eyal (Federman, not Barkan), Christopher Lawrence, Dyloot, Mars, Mystre...

I think Gabriel & Dresden, Goldenscan are far to overated. Their stuff is good but its not as sensational as everyone makes out.

One of the most underated producers I think there is would be Mystery Islands.

Over Rated:

Crappy Scooter type artists that by some miracle make it in to the charts and get played in clubs. Poor tune (probably only used samples from keyboards), pointless lyrics and 100% annoyance rating! Evil or Very Mad

Under Rated:

New/lesser known artists such as silverblue, who i dont even get any credit for fantasitic tracks. Especially there class remix of Blank + Jones - Desire, What a tune!

The artists that bring a new style to trance + don't even get proper recognition for their work.

So that's Tiesto then, Sander Kleinenberg, Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, JXL, Sasha, ATB, Martin Eyerer, Marco V (Although I do like them)
