Would you sell out ?

If one of the big five record label approached you and said there would a huge contract if you started producing cheesy pop tracks would you sell out?

Me personally, I can't produce a note let alone a entire song but if that opertunity arised i would say no cos i think you only produce your best music if you're heart is in the genre that you love.

yea...I plan to. I want a different alias for every type of trance I make. I want to be able to make money like sammy and atb.

i would produce cheesy pop for money
then use the money to buy samplers,synths,mixers...
and produce trance under a different name for interest

i don't see porducing trance as wrok,it's a lifestyle

Musical taste would say no, producing the type of sound that gives what you really want to push a bad name.

well i like pop music & commercial dance anyway... I love trance & ElectroTrance and some techno and hardstyle.... progressive/tribal trance being my favourite...

so yea.. i dont mind making it all as long as i like it Very Happy

If I could produce (which is far from the truth) I would only do the music I personally wanted to do. Making music I don't like just to become popular wouldn't happen!

I have to wonder....do people like DJ Ötzi (or whatever he's called) really enjoy their productions?

I like fluff, but I'd still say no. The big companies want too much control and feed people what they want to sell. No adventure, no way out.

Just think of it as a job
coz with all that money i could buy a nice car, house and dj equipments

produce quality trance as an interest even though it won't sell out
