I'm sick and tired of people on here saying Ian Van Dahl, Flip N Fill, Lasgo and other SHITE groups as trance. They never were trance and never will be trance, will you stop posting about them on this board because it's plain wrong to call it trance. If you want to post about it, use the proper term that it should be called TRASH!

thanks for your cooperation.

lol!
Ian van Dahl, Sylver, Lasgo and others are just european dance, derived from Trance I think, but too commercial. All 4 of them come from Belgium, so their music is very similar.

I agree with what you said...

I've never classed, called or thought of them as trance. That type of music is Euro-pop, you could say trash but thats a little light, a bit *beep* is a term I use.

They give trance a bad them because they are classed by some folk as trance.

if you like their kind of stuff, fair does, but it aint for me.

I dont refer to them as trance, but I can see where people get the idea from, its because these compilations like Ultimate Trance 2004 and Trance Anthems 2004 and Club Anthems has trance in its slogen etc... and all these compilations have songs by these artists on them... so the big companies who put out these compilations play a big part in it also...

then again, you can call them "intelligent" b/c with their mainstream styles they are probably making more papers than most of the trance artists out there.. just look at hip hop as an example, ppl like p-diddy and 50 cent changed up their styles to compensate for their loss of income if they were not to do so

Castles in the sky is a trance song in its remixes, but as origin its just a usual dance track even though its very good, but all the remixes are even better, and you can find hard trance remixes, melodic trance and god knows what more you can find,

Sylver was very popular in the underground-scene long before their no1 hit became popular and classified them as commercial artists.

If I'm not mistaken they called themselves Sliver at first...

Some people in this thread need to get a clue. They are commerical dance. The more "energetic" side of Pop. I cannot believe some of the posts I hav read in this thread.

How u can judge it's or not Trance, u think only good stuffs are Trance ? sorry but i listen to shitty Trance regularly and sometimes from supposed great artists, so Trance is not automatically good...

Just to tell u that i like

Flip & Fill with Shooting star (Cj Stone remix)

So if i follow u, CJ Stone is doing shit too, no ? he remixed a shit...

don't even mention trance near it cause it brings a really bad reputation to the real trancegenre.. so call it dance, ok? or even better germandance cause most of that shit comes from Germany (Especially Hamburg Rolling Eyes ) Razz

commercial dance, euro pop whatever you want to pigeon hole it as. There have been a few artists do remixes for the commercial producers, lange & M.I.K.E have both done mixes for Ian van Dahl. Just because they do a mix for them does not class them as what the original tune is.

True like the Alphazone remix of "Try" is a awesome tune! Aswell as the Airscape remix of "I'm Your Pusher", The Taucher remix of "I'm Raving" and Signum remix of "Faster Harder Scooter" Rolling Eyes

Yes it's so anyoing! I watched Ztv some months ago when they started to talk how all the "trance producers" are doing covers of old tunes.. As examples they took tunes like Dj Sammy - Heaven etc.. Rolling Eyes
